Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by providing essential speech and language services to PreK through 5th-grade students on a collaborative school-based team. This contract position is perfect for SLP-CCC professionals as well as Clinical Fellows (CFY) seeking hands-on experience and mentorship in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. The assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, offering a consistent 39-hour workweek. Based just an hour north of Wilmington, NC, you'll be close to the coastline while serving a vibrant school community.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility) SLP-CCC credential or Clinical Fellowship candidate (CFY welcome) Pediatric and/or school-based SLP experience preferred Strong collaboration and communication abilities Ability to tailor services to diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in PreK-5th grade Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for speech/language disorders Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support students' academic and social success Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute actively to the multidisciplinary team
