Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Rio Rancho, NM

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), serving middle and high school students on a contract basis. This role offers the unique opportunity to work three days per week through June 28th, providing targeted speech and language support to students in a supportive, collaborative setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations, preferably within school settings Familiarity with healthcare-related SLP practices and school-based service delivery models Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapeutic interventions to middle and high school students with speech, language, and communication challenges Assess, diagnose, and document student progress and needs in compliance with educational policies and professional standards Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists Consult with teachers and staff to support student success in the academic environment Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to student teams Offer guidance and strategies to families to extend support beyond the classroom You will have the chance to make a tangible impact during a vital period of students' growth and development, all within a welcoming school community.
