Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to our geriatric patients. Your expertise will help individuals improve their communication skills, enhance their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in our skilled nursing facility, utilizing your passion for patient care and your knowledge of speech-language pathology to make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions in geriatric patients. Develop personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each individual's needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines. Implement therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities, including traditional face-to-face methods and telehealth platforms. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams such as educators, physicians, occupational therapists, and families to coordinate care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language therapy. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Master's Degree Program. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations for geriatric populations. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions. Experience implementing speech therapy plans for individuals with speech impairments or disabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and engage families effectively. Pay:
$42.00 - $52.00 per hour
