Job Description
Make a lasting impact in the Washington DC metropolitan area by stepping into a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity, supporting students across a variety of grade levels. This full-time contract begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027. Assignments may vary as positions are available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, giving you an excellent chance to work with diverse student populations and broaden your professional experience.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Virginia SLP licensure Experience working with school-aged children (elementary, middle, or high school, any age group appreciated) Ability to manage a flexible caseload and collaborate with other educational professionals Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Willingness to complete VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
What You'll Do:
Provide speech and language therapy services onsite within district schoolsno virtual or hybrid options Evaluate students, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct interventions Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to facilitate student progress and overall well-being Maintain required documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and student progress reviews Engage with a wide range of age groups and needs, with assignments determined based on district priorities Support students in developing essential communication skills to succeed inside and outside the classroom
