The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for preparing, sterilizing, maintaining, and distributing medical instruments and equipment used throughout the healthcare facility.
Minimum 5-7 years of direct experience in sterile processing Valid BLS certification and Certified Sterile Processing Technician credential Strong communication skills and reliable attendance Excellent interpersonal abilities; able to follow instructions and collaborate with diverse teams Willingness to participate in training and ongoing skill development Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain meticulous standards
Key Responsibilities:
Process, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and medical supplies in strict accordance with protocols Safely handle and distribute sterile and non-sterile equipment to healthcare professionals Monitor and document sterilization cycles and maintain accurate records Adhere to infection control policies and maintain cleanliness in all work areas Operate and troubleshoot sterilization equipment as needed Communicate effectively with surgical staff and respond promptly to instrument requests
