The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This position suits individuals who excel in maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and patient care.
Key Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent required) Proven experience in a healthcare environment, with specific skills in cleaning, inspecting, wrapping, and sterilizing medical instruments Comprehensive understanding of infection control standards and applicable regulatory requirements Strong ability to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions and procedures Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management capabilities Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other clinical and support staff
Schedule/Hours:
Position is contract-based with schedule details to be provided during the interview process
Role Responsibilities:
Process, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical instruments and medical supplies in accordance with established guidelines and protocols Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including steam, gas, and low-temperature sterilizers Conduct routine quality assurance checks on products, equipment, and records to ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of all processed instruments and equipment Support operating room and clinic teams by ensuring timely availability of sterile supplies
