Job description Dental Sterilization Technician - Children's Clinic Dental Associates of Minnesota | Savage, MN Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Make a Difference Behind the Scenes Do you take pride in organization, cleanliness, and helping a team succeed? At Dental Associates of Minnesota, our Children's Clinic is looking for a dedicated Dental Sterilization Technician to play a vital role in creating a safe, healthy, and positive experience for our young patients.
As a Sterilization Technician, you'll be the backbone of our clinical operations, ensuring instruments, treatment areas, and supplies are ready for exceptional patient care every day. What You'll Do Instrument Sterilization & Processing Collect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA, CDC, and state guidelines Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners Package and organize instruments using proper sterilization methods Monitor sterilization cycles, biological indicators, and testing logs Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on sterilization equipment Infection Control & Clinical Readiness Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients Prepare and break down procedure trays and clinical setups Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized clinical environment Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps Inventory & Supply Management Monitor inventory levels and restock sterilization supplies Assist with ordering and maintaining supply inventory Keep storage areas organized and efficient Team Support Ensure clinical staff have clean, sterilized instruments when needed Prepare treatment setups based on daily schedules Communicate proactively regarding equipment concerns or workflow delays Compliance & Safety Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols Stay current on required training and safety procedures Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
Requirements:
What We're Looking For Previous experience in dental sterilization or sterile processing preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a busy clinical environment Positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills Passion for supporting outstanding patient care
