Precision Surgery Center has an exceptional PRN opportunity for an experienced Scrub Tech in our ambulatory surgery center, open 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday). Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Scrub Technician to join our dynamic surgical team at Precision Surgery Center. As a Scrub Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and providing the necessary instruments and supplies will be vital in ensuring the success of our surgical department and the safety of our patients.

  Responsibilities
• Preparing the operating room for surgery by ensuring it is clean, sterile, and fully equipped with the necessary instruments and supplies.
• Assisting the surgical team in donning sterile gowns and gloves.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team during procedures and passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants promptly.
• Maintaining the sterile field throughout the surgical procedure and taking appropriate action to prevent contamination.
• Assisting with patient positioning and draping to ensure optimal exposure for the surgical site.
• Handling and disposing of surgical instruments and supplies following established protocols.
• Cleaning and restocking the operating room after each procedure.
• Collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure efficient workflow and timely turnover between surgical cases.
• Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assisting in transporting patients to and from the operating room, as needed.
• Participating in continuous education and staying up-to-date with best practices and advancements in surgical technology. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.

Required:

2 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician in an acute care or surgical setting. .

Required:

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.

Preferred:

Experience working in a Ambulatory Surgery Center, ophthalmic experience a plus!

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

From $30.00 per hour
