3008177690-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Methodist Health System seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support a fast-paced, mission-driven OR in Dallas. In this role, you'll prepare and maintain sterile fields, select and pass instruments, and uphold strict aseptic technique across diverse surgical cases. You'll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to promote patient safety, accurate counts, and timely case turnover. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures Select, set up, and pass instruments and supplies to surgeons Verify and document instrument, sponge, and needle counts Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping Operate and care for OR equipment and surgical technology Ensure compliance with aseptic and infection control standards Handle and label specimens accurately Document intraoperative data in electronic records Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff Support orientation and mentoring of less experienced techs Required Skills Sterile field setup Surgical instrumentation handling Aseptic and infection control techniques Operating room equipment operation Surgical case preparation and turnover Specimen handling and labeling Electronic health record documentation Intraoperative patient safety monitoring Instrument counts and reconciliation Collaboration with surgeons and RNs
