Responsibilities Decorate cakes and baked goods according to customer specifications, utilizing advanced cake decorating techniques and tools. Prepare various types of baked goods, including doughs, pastries, and other confections, ensuring consistency with recipes and quality standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, piping tools, and refrigeration units. Package finished products securely for delivery or display, maintaining presentation quality and food safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols and food handling regulations. Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, assembling components, and ensuring timely production. Support high-volume production needs during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor, appearance, and quality of baked goods. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold excellent customer service standards. Adhere strictly to food safety management practices throughout all stages of food handling and preparation. Qualifications Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or a related culinary field. Strong skills in food handling, baking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for recipe scaling and ingredient measurements. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in dough preparation methods. Experience with high-volume production environments is preferred. Strong attention to detail with an artistic eye for design and presentation. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team setting. Prior catering or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
