Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, counters, seating areas, and equipment to meet food safety standards. Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience. Restock supplies regularly, including coffee beans, cups, lids, napkins, and food items to ensure smooth daily operations. Follow proper food handling procedures during beverage preparation and food service to uphold health regulations. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles with knowledge of beverage preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising quality. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices in a café or food industry environment. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Experience with cleaning routines necessary for maintaining hygiene standards in food service environments.
