We're seeking an energetic, detail-oriented multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced retail and café environment. You'll spend your shifts pulling espresso shots, managing register checkouts, keeping our bookshelves curated, and delivering top-tier customer service to our daily regulars. Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages including lattes, cocktails, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS system (Shopify POS) to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by assisting customers in locating books and merchandise, answering questions, and offering personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices, to ensure a hygienic environment for staff and customers. Handle cash transactions with precision, process credit card payments, and manage cash handling duties responsibly. Restock shelves with books and café supplies, organize displays, and ensure the store remains tidy and inviting. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café experience is preferred; familiarity with alcoholic beverage preparation techniques is a plus. Experience with retail sales transactions using POS systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure proper food preparation and hygiene standards. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk around the store comfortably, and perform light cleaning duties as part of daily operations. Pay:
