At Midtown Cafe & Dessertery, our baristas bring all three together. We're looking for a friendly, dependable team member who enjoys taking care of people and takes pride in the details. Whether you're making a latte, boxing a cake for a celebration, or helping a guest choose a dessert, you'll play an important role in their Midtown experience. We're a full-service restaurant serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts, and specialty coffee throughout the day. This role combines making coffee with dessert service, takeout orders, and guest interaction—so there's always something to do and someone to help. Coffee experience is welcome, but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong sense of teamwork matter just as much. We can teach recipes and techniques. We're looking for someone who brings genuine hospitality to every shift. What You'll Do Prepare espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and brewed coffee with consistency and care Cut, score, plate, and package our scratch-made cakes and pies with attention to presentation Help guests choose drinks and desserts, offering thoughtful recommendations Accurately handle takeout and third-party delivery orders, checking packaging and completeness Keep the coffee station, dessert case, and front counter clean, organized, and stocked Communicate with teammates and step in where needed during busy service Make guests feel welcomed and cared for from arrival to pickup What We're Looking For A warm, guest-focused attitude Dependability and a willingness to support your team The ability to stay organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail with recipes, presentation, and order accuracy Openness to feedback and an eagerness to learn Weekend availability is a plus Previous barista or restaurant experience is helpful, but not required Why Join Midtown?
