Tips +++ Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks with precision and flair Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing personalized beverage recommendations Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards Handle cash transactions with accuracy, processing payments and giving correct change while balancing registers at shift end Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in beverage preparation and service Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles with knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and cash handling Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and create positive interactions Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and managing sales totals Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and compliance Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours in the afternoon and evening shifts This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your barista expertise while working flexible hours that fit your schedule.
