About the Position We are seeking a dependable, friendly full-time barista who enjoys serving people and working as part of a team. You will prepare quality beverages, welcome guests, and help keep the coffee shop clean, organized, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to treating every guest and coworker with dignity and respect. Responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and other menu items according to shop recipes and quality standards. Welcome guests, answer menu questions, and provide attentive, friendly customer service. Take orders and process payments accurately using our point-of-sale system. Follow food safety and sanitation procedures. Clean and maintain coffee equipment, counters, seating areas, and other workspaces. Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Coffee Shop Manager. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned. Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining drink quality and a welcoming atmosphere. Support coworkers and communicate clearly with the Coffee Shop Manager. Represent Ivy on Spring and Greenhouse Ministries professionally and uphold our mission and values. Qualifications Previous barista, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate. Friendly communication skills and a service-minded attitude. Dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Willingness to learn espresso preparation, drink recipes, and equipment care. Ability to follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks. Comfort working in a Christian, faith-based organization and supporting its commitment to compassionate service. Availability to work full-time and assigned opening or closing shifts. Ability to perform the essential duties of the role, including standing for extended periods, cleaning, and moving supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation. Why Join Ivy on Spring?
