Core Responsibilities:

Operating espresso machines Maintaining a sanitized workspace Managing transactions Delivering exceptional customer service by fulfilling precise orders and educating customers about menu items.

Beverage Preparation Espresso & Specialty Drinks:

Grind beans, tamp grounds, and pull espresso shots. Froth and texture milk (including plant-based alternatives) for lattes and cappuccinos, often finishing with latte art Prepare drip coffees, pour-overs, and teas according to specific recipe standards.

Customer Service Welcoming & Ordering:

Greet customers, explain menu items or specials, and accurately take orders Educate customers about different coffee origins, roast profiles, and brewing methods Accommodate individual customer preferences (e.g., syrup amounts, milk types) Purge, backflush, and deep clean espresso machines and grinders daily. Wipe down counters, sanitize prep areas, and wash utensils throughout the shift to prevent cross-contamination Clear tables, sweep floors, and maintain a tidy dining area
