Grayze Wine Bar is looking for a warm, personable, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. We're a neighborhood establishment in downtown Southington offering thoughtfully selected wines, craft cocktails, shareable plates, and a relaxed, elevated atmosphere. We believe great hospitality is about more than what's in the glass — it's about making people feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to come back. The ideal candidate is someone who: Loves connecting with people and creating a genuine, memorable guest experience Is warm, engaging, and confident without being overly formal Can read the room and anticipate what guests need Has bartending experience and is comfortable making classic cocktails Has an interest in wine and enjoys learning about different varietals, regions, and producers Can comfortably guide guests through our wine list and make recommendations based on their preferences Is knowledgeable about responsible alcohol service and follows all applicable requirements Takes pride in presentation, cleanliness, and attention to detail Works well as part of a small, close-knit team Brings a positive attitude and a little personality to the bar Wine knowledge is preferred, but passion and a willingness to learn are just as important. What you'll do: Create a welcoming and personalized experience for every guest Prepare and serve food & drink with consistency and care Make thoughtful recommendations and help guests discover something new Maintain knowledge of Grayze's wine and cocktail offerings Engage with guests while maintaining an attentive, professional bar presence Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar Handle POS transactions accurately Follow responsible alcohol-service practices Support the team with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties What we're looking for:

Experience:

Bartending experience preferred Wine knowledge: Preferred, but we're happy to teach the right person

Personality:

Warm, personable, curious & hospitality-minded

Availability:
