This individual will take drink orders at the bar, answer questions about cocktails and spirits, and make drinks in an organized and efficient way. Our ideal candidate has plenty of experience behind the bar, has a knack for hospitality, is quick paced, super friendly, and can remain cool and collect under pressure. Cocktail Bar The cocktail bar at Short Path Distillery is an extension of our production facility from which we serve our house-made craft cocktails. We pride ourselves on creating exceptional cocktails made with fresh ingredients that appeal to everyone. From hand-juiced citrus to freshly made syrups, our team excels at crafting delicious drinks that show off our unique spirits. Our cocktail bar includes space for 89 guests inside and 100+ on our dog-friendly, heated patio. Weekend shifts are fast paced, exciting, dynamic, and we're seeking a person who is experienced and comfortable in this type of environment. Availability Saturday availability is a must. This job is for a 6-9 hour shift on Saturdays only, but there are plenty of opportunities to pick up Friday shifts and grow within the space. Responsibilities Preps bar supplies and ingredients Interacts with guests; checks IDs, takes orders for drinks and snacks Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations Prepares drinks efficiently Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies Remains guest focused and maintains an excellent guest experience Complies with all food and beverage regulations Knowledgable on SPD spirits - how they're made and how to use them Acts as a representative to the brand Opening / closing shifts include additional responsibilities to prep and clean bar Qualifications Ability to multitask Attention to detail Verbal communication skills High energy Professional Positive attitude Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean POS software skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Compensation is $6.75/hour + pooled tips. High volume shifts on Saturdays!
