The Food Service Worker performs high volume food preparation of average difficulty at a correctional facility and/or leads inmates/residents in food production activities. Performs related duties as required. Assist/lead inmates/residents in preparation of volume meals, managing supplies and cleaning Prepare meals and special diets in accordance with approved menus by a registered dietitian. Assist/direct the serving of meals according to schedules, portions, and proper procedures. Conduct inspections for compliance with health and safety standards; resolve issues according. Assist in maintaining inventory and in ordering and receiving food and food preparation supplies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. Prefer experience in food service and good knowledge of volume food service operation, including safety and sanitation preferred. Must meet all state and local government food handling requirements. Must be available to work any hours, any shift. A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.

Minimum age requirement:
