Job Description

Posting Details Community Based Services is the outpatient division of the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute. Community Based Services (CBS) provides comprehensive, high quality behavioral health services to individuals residing in a tri-county area (San Miguel, Mora and Guadalupe). This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? This position will work as part the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (PSR) and is responsible for the daily operations of the Canteen and serving daily meals to clients of Community Based Services. How does it get done? Incumbent will manage the daily operations of the Canteen. Key responsibilities include providing customer service, purchasing inventory, stocking, making deposits, check requests and maintaining accurate records. Responsible for ensuring proper sanitation of food areas and equipment, ensuring product freshness, and serving refreshments and daily lunch to clients of the PSR program. Must be able to follow all food handling safety policies and procedures. Incumbent will also provide daily support to the psychosocial rehabilitation program as needed. Who are the customers? Clients of the CBS PSR Program who experience behavioral health issues and employees of Community Based Services. Ideal Candidate Clients of the CBS PSR Program who experience behavioral health issues and employees of Community Based Services. Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Employment is subject to criminal background check pursuant to New Mexico Caregivers Criminal Screening Act (Sections 29-17-2 through 29-17-5 NMSA 1978 and 7.1.9.1 through 7.1.9.11 NMAC) and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid NM Drivers License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate. Working Conditions This position will perform in an outpatient office setting with exposure to visual/video display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged clients who may exhibit unpredictable and potentially violent behavior. Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching above head and shoulders as well as the ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds is required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became 100% tobacco free/e-cigarette free campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or e-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. The position is located at Community Based Services. The shift is 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
