is an upcoming restaurant located at The Watershed development in downtown Sturgis, Michigan, featuring live-fire cooking, dry-aged steaks, craft cocktails, and thoughtful hospitality. We are seeking a creative and forward-thinking Beverage Director to lead AMENDMENT's cocktail, spirits, and bar program. The Beverage Director will develop a distinctive cocktail program, curate a thoughtful and evolving spirits collection, and lead the bar team in delivering an exceptional guest experience. As the Beverage Director you will have at your disposal: UP200Ht ultrasonic processor, a centrifuge, sous vide machines, vacuum sealer, ph reader, refractometer, high end glassware, the entire Corvin catalogue, dehydrators, cold press juicer, high end ingredients, high end whisk(e)y, mezcal, gin, liqueur, Amaros, two perlick cocktail station, CO2 blast chillers, woodfire grill, high end teas and ingredients. As well as the creative freedom to push the limits of cocktail making. This role combines creativity with strong operational leadership. The ideal candidate respects classic technique while bringing curiosity, originality, and a desire to create drinks and experiences guests will remember. Responsibilities Develop and continually evolve AMENDMENT's craft cocktail menu and seasonal beverage features Create original cocktails rooted in strong technique, thoughtful ingredients, and creative presentation Curate a distinctive spirits collection that balances respected classics, emerging producers, unique selections, and opportunities for guest discovery Research beverage trends, ingredients, techniques, and producers to keep the program creative and forward-thinking Develop cocktail recipes, specifications, costing, prep procedures, garnishes, and presentation standards Train and mentor bartenders on technique, service standards, cocktail execution, spirits, and product knowledge Lead the bar team during service and maintain consistent standards for quality, hospitality, and presentation Monitor inventory, place orders, manage vendor relationships, and maintain appropriate beverage costs Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements Collaborate with the Sommelier & Wine Director, culinary leadership, and FOH team to create a cohesive food and beverage experience Requirements 3+ years of bar leadership or beverage program experience, preferably in fine dining, chef-driven, craft cocktail, or upscale concepts Strong knowledge of spirits, classic and contemporary cocktails, mixology, and bar technique Demonstrated creativity and genuine interest in cocktail development and spirits Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills Excellent guest engagement and hospitality skills Ability to manage inventory and costs while delivering a premium beverage experience Curiosity, ambition, and a desire to continually develop and improve the beverage program Join

Pay:
$70,507.84 - $80,643.85 per year
