Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for culinary support of ingredient and national account sales. Perform all culinary functions including, but not limited to, product and menu concept consulting, assistance with customer product development and usage ideation in collaboration with customer culinary teams and with JDF ingredient sales. Separately, present corporate programs, administer pricing policy, negotiate sales agreements, establish service parameters, write orders with assigned foodservice customers. Assigned to help meet plan objectives for sales volume, market penetration, and profitability with those accounts. Assist in special projects as needed in a culinary support capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position. % Of Total Time Manage assigned customer network in compliance within Company guidelines and provide sales and culinary support and training. 5% Efficiently handle all product claims and complaints while maintaining positive customer relationships with assigned customers. 5% Achieve all assigned volume, trade spending and profitability goals set by sales management with assigned customers. 5% Provide up-to-date competitor information. 5% Collaboratively offer culinary support to Ingredient/National Account Sales Manager selling efforts. 25% Work with customer culinary teams on product projects: new item development, menu concepts. 25% Up to 75% travel. 10% Make recommendations concerning improvements to policies, procedures, techniques, facilities, and any other matters related to enhancing the effectiveness of the department or company. 5% Accept special projects and complete them promptly. 15% The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent and a formal Culinary Education.
Experience or Training:
2-4 years of previous sales experience, meat or perishable food background preferred. 3-5 years of previous culinary experience at operator or corporate level. Product Development experience a plus. Must possess excellent negotiation skills, oral and written communication skills, and can close the sale.
Technology/Equipment :
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong culinary skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The majority of work duties are conducted in an office and manufacturing environment. There may be exposure to production areas requiring the use of PPE, uniform or protective clothing, and safety equipment.
