The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a crucial role in our restaurant's kitchen, contributing to meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices. Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen to maintain a safe working environment. Keep kitchen, dishes, pots and pans clean when needed. Skills Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills, particularly in fine dining or dietary departments. Familiarity with meal preparation processes, including menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
