Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards at all times Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support smooth kitchen operations Follow proper food handling procedures, including slicing techniques and knife skills, to ensure safety and efficiency Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and meet service deadlines Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control Ensure compliance with safety standards in production and food safety management protocols Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food industry best practices Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food handling procedures Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives for slicing techniques Proven ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in a fast-paced setting Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
