Job Overview:

We are seeking a Cook to join our Child Care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious and visually appealing meals in a professional manner. Typical hours are 9:30-1:30 M-F, with the option for additional hours working with the children and break coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
• Assist with meal preparation, including cutting, chopping, and marinating ingredients
• Ensure food quality by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production
• Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
• Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with food safety regulations

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or catering environment
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and meal planning for special diets
• Proficiency in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils
