- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation
- Ensure food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following all food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Assist with catering events as needed ```Skills```
- Previous experience in food preparation or a related role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent knife skills for food preparation
- Experience working in a dietary department or similar setting is a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
