We are seeking an experienced Tasting Room Manager who thrives in high-performance environments, leads by example, and is passionate about building exceptional teams while delivering unforgettable guest experiences. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys creating structure, developing people, driving sales, and maintaining uncompromising operational standards. Position Summary The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for the daily leadership and operational execution of Twin Rocks Estate Winery's tasting room, restaurant service, events, and guest experience. This role oversees service standards, employee development, financial performance, and membership growth while ensuring every guest receives an elevated hospitality experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, financially minded, and comfortable holding teams accountable to clearly defined standards. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations Lead daily operations of the tasting room and front-of-house team. Establish and maintain exceptional hospitality and service standards. Lead pre-shift meetings and coach team members throughout each shift. Develop a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement. Ensure all opening, closing, daily, weekly, and mid-shift checklists are consistently completed. Maintain cleanliness, organization, presentation, and operational readiness throughout the property. Resolve guest concerns professionally while creating memorable recovery experiences. Guest Experience Protect and elevate Twin Rocks' reservation-based tasting experience. Ensure every guest receives personalized, knowledgeable, and seamless service. Coach staff on wine education, storytelling, hospitality, and service etiquette. Maintain luxury-level presentation standards throughout every guest interaction. Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to continually elevate the experience. Sales & Membership Growth Drive wine club membership acquisition and retention. Coach the team on consultative wine sales and guest engagement. Promote premium wine sales, reserve selections, and private event opportunities. Partner with ownership and marketing teams to execute promotional initiatives and membership campaigns. Achieve monthly sales and membership performance goals. Financial & Business Performance Manage labor scheduling and productivity while maintaining service standards. Monitor daily sales, labor, inventory, and operating expenses. Analyze sales trends, product mix, and performance metrics to improve profitability. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and purchasing. Maintain strong inventory controls and minimize waste. Team Development Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members. Conduct ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and accountability conversations. Develop future leaders through mentoring and structured development. Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on professionalism and hospitality excellence. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of management experience in luxury hospitality, upscale restaurants, wineries, resorts, hotels, or fine dining. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Experience managing labor, scheduling, and operating budgets. Strong understanding of hospitality financials, including labor cost, food and beverage cost, and profitability. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Preferred Winery, tasting room, country club, or estate hospitality experience. Experience with Toast POS or similar restaurant management systems. Wine knowledge (WSET, CMS, or equivalent experience is a plus). Experience with reservation and membership platforms such as Tock.
