Immediate opening | Target start within 2-4 weeks | Flexible for the right candidate About Anytime Fitness Granite Bay Anytime Fitness Granite Bay is a locally owned and operated fitness club located in the heart of Treelake Village in Granite Bay. Our club has recently undergone significant upgrades and improvements, and we are entering an exciting and aggressive phase of growth. We are community-focused, relationship-driven, results-oriented, and committed to building a high-accountability team culture centered around exceptional member experiences, fitness, personal development, and measurable business performance. We are seeking an experienced, high-energy and results-driven General Manager - Sales, Fitness & Operations to serve as the day-to-day leader and face of our club. This is not a position for someone looking simply to maintain a gym. This is an opportunity to work directly with ownership, lead and develop a growing team, help build multiple revenue channels, strengthen our presence throughout the Granite Bay community, and have meaningful influence over the daily operations and future direction of the club. The Role The General Manager reports directly to ownership and is responsible for the overall day-to-day leadership and performance of Anytime Fitness Granite Bay. The GM will have significant autonomy over daily club operations and will be directly accountable for: Staff leadership and performance Membership growth and retention Membership sales Personal Training growth and operations Recovery Membership growth Member experience Club operations Marketing and lead generation Community outreach Business-to-business relationships Revenue growth Operational and financial performance This is a hands-on leadership role. The General Manager is expected to personally participate in sales, member engagement and problem-solving while developing and leading a team capable of consistently achieving club-wide goals. We expect our GM to identify problems early, take ownership, exercise sound judgment and bring ownership proposed solutions—not simply report problems and wait for direction. Current Growth Objectives The General Manager will inherit a club with significant opportunity for continued growth.
Current objectives include:
Grow approximately 380 active Green Members to 1,000+ within 12 months or less Grow Recovery Memberships from approximately 18 current packages to 100+ within 90 days Grow active Personal Training clients from approximately 20 to 60+ within 90 days Recruit and develop additional Personal Trainers to support training growth Maintain strong member retention and reduce preventable attrition Increase overall club revenue while maintaining exceptional member and operational standards Increase and maintain a strong national club-performance ranking within the Purpose Brands / Anytime Fitness corporate performance dashboard These goals are expected to be achieved through leadership, team development, disciplined sales execution, marketing, community involvement, retention strategies and consistent accountability—not through individual sales production alone. Team Leadership & Staff Management The General Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of club staff and the Personal Training team.
Responsibilities include:
Recruit, interview and hire employees and Personal Trainers Onboard, train, coach and develop team members Build and manage staff schedules Review and manage time-off requests Maintain appropriate staffing levels Work directly with ownership to establish individual and team performance expectations Communicate and enforce established performance standards Monitor employee productivity, sales performance, attendance and execution Conduct employee and trainer performance reviews Provide coaching and corrective action when appropriate Document performance issues Make disciplinary and termination decisions within established management parameters Maintain high expectations for punctuality, professionalism, accountability and member service Create a culture in which employees understand expectations and are held accountable for results Confidently establish, communicate and enforce appropriate operational, safety, regulatory and professional boundaries with both employees and members Sales, Membership Growth & Retention Sales leadership is a major responsibility of this position. The GM will personally participate in the sales process while carrying primary accountability for overall club-wide sales results.
Responsibilities include:
Drive membership growth and net member acquisition Conduct membership tours and sales conversations Oversee prospect and lead follow-up Manage CRM activity and lead pipelines Conduct and oversee fitness consultations Drive Personal Training sales Drive Recovery Membership sales Manage member referral programs Develop and execute promotional campaigns Establish and monitor staff sales expectations Track leads, appointments, tours, conversions and close rates Coach staff on relationship-based selling and follow-up Identify sales underperformance and implement corrective strategies Develop systems that allow the entire staff to contribute toward club-wide growth Monitor cancellations and member attrition Develop proactive member-retention strategies This position does not receive individual transaction-based sales commissions. Compensation is structured around a competitive base salary and annual performance incentive tied to the overall performance and growth of the club. Personal Training & Fitness Department Leadership A current nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification is required for this position. The GM will be intimately involved in the operations and growth of the fitness and training side of the business.
Responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee Personal Trainers Recruit, interview, hire and onboard additional trainers Manage trainer schedules Coordinate Personal Training client assignments Monitor trainer utilization and available capacity Conduct trainer performance reviews Monitor training quality and member satisfaction Establish trainer performance expectations with ownership Manage Personal Training sales performance Monitor Personal Training client retention Oversee group and team training schedules Monitor class participation and attendance Ensure training programs are delivered professionally and consistently Develop and support fitness-related group activities and member-engagement programs Step in and personally cover Personal Training or group-training sessions when unexpected trainer coverage is required The General Manager is not expected to maintain a large personal client load. Their primary responsibility is to lead, manage and grow the training department while remaining qualified and capable of providing training coverage when necessary. Member Experience & Customer Relations The General Manager will serve as the primary leadership contact for member concerns and service recovery.

Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the club Build strong relationships with members Respond to member complaints promptly and professionally Address membership concerns Handle cancellation discussions Assist with billing-related questions Address staff-related member complaints Resolve routine service-recovery situations Identify and correct recurring causes of member dissatisfaction Monitor member feedback Promote a welcoming, professional and community-focused culture Protect member retention while maintaining club policies and appropriate boundaries The GM will have authority to resolve routine member matters and approved goodwill situations independently. Refunds, significant account credits, fee waivers, contract exceptions and other financial adjustments require prior approval from ownership. Marketing, Community Outreach & Business Development Community involvement is an important part of the Anytime Fitness Granite Bay brand. The General Manager will be responsible for actively growing our presence inside and outside the club through: Social media content Local business partnerships Community events Member referral programs Lead-generation campaigns Email and text outreach Corporate and community partnerships Business-to-business outreach Local sponsorships Representing Anytime Fitness Granite Bay at community events Developing relationships with neighboring businesses and organizations Creating opportunities that generate awareness, leads, memberships and community engagement This is primarily an on-site position; however, regular off-site community and business outreach is expected. Club Operations & Facility Standards The General Manager is responsible for ensuring the club consistently operates at a high standard.
Responsibilities include:
Manage staff to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained Ensure employees complete assigned cleaning and operational responsibilities Monitor equipment condition and identify service needs Submit maintenance and service requests through ownership Coordinate approved vendors and service providers Manage club supply inventory Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels Verify safety and compliance standards Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed Address club access and security concerns Maintain a professional, clean and member-ready facility Identify operational problems and provide ownership with proposed solutions The GM's role is primarily to manage and hold the team accountable for operational standards , while remaining willing to step in when necessary. Reporting & Accountability to Ownership The General Manager will work directly with ownership and participate in regular leadership meetings. A formal weekly performance scorecard/report will include: New memberships Membership cancellations Attrition Net membership growth Leads generated Appointments Tours Sales close rate Personal Training sales and growth Recovery Membership sales and growth Total revenue Collections Staffing Payroll Member complaints and service issues Marketing activity Community outreach Partnership activity The GM is expected to understand the numbers, identify trends, recognize problems and recommend corrective action when performance falls below established expectations. Authority & Relationship With Ownership The General Manager will have significant autonomy over the day-to-day operation of the club. Ownership retains authority over major business decisions including: Major expenditures Membership pricing and pricing structure Significant financial adjustments Capital improvements Major vendor agreements Major contractual commitments Overall business strategy The GM is expected to exercise independent judgment within established authority and proactively manage daily operations without requiring constant direction. Occasional weekends, early mornings, evenings or adjusted hours may be required for: Staffing needs Community events Business outreach Club events Training coverage Operational needs The General Manager is also expected to remain reasonably reachable outside normal working hours for urgent staffing or club-related situations. Physical Requirements This position operates in an active fitness environment. Compensation Base Salary:
$72,384 annually The General Manager is eligible for an annual performance incentive of up to 15% of base salary .
Maximum Annual Performance Bonus:

Approximately $83,242 Annual performance incentive goals will be established by ownership and may include: Adjusted operating profitability and financial performance Membership growth Member retention and attrition Personal Training growth and revenue Recovery Membership growth and revenue Purpose Brands / Anytime Fitness nationwide club-performance ranking and improvement Staff performance Operational execution Member experience There are no individual transaction-based sales commissions associated with this role. Following successful completion of six months of employment, the General Manager becomes eligible to participate in the annual performance incentive program. First-year incentive eligibility will be prorated based on the number of eligible months worked during the applicable performance year. Paid Vacation Following successful completion of six months of employment, the General Manager becomes eligible to accrue up to 10 paid vacation days (80 hours) annually . Vacation begins accruing prospectively after the six-month eligibility period and is subject to company scheduling and approval policies.
