Looking for candidates that meet the following qualifications: Must Have a minimum of 3 years' of Hotel Sales or Events Manager experience Open Availability and Flexible Schedule Ability to communicate effectively with all guests, employees, and clients, both verbally and written Ability to multitask and take on more than one project at a time Ability to work with minimum supervision, self-starter Ability to work well with others and have a friendly, genuine, and professional attitude Strong commitment to guest satisfaction, going above and beyond for the client Team Player with a positive attitude Strong interpersonal and administrative skills Able to utilize computer and efficiently process transactions using the Property Management System Microsoft, word, excel, Powerpoint and outlook knowledge Great organizational skills Ability to perform job functions, with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Well presented, well groomed, and adheres by the company's hotel dress code Ability to travel on business trips or trainings if needed Reports to:
General Manager Position Summary:
The Sales & Events Manager is responsible for detailed coordination and administration of groups, events, sales and assigned accounts. Group and event planning, preparation, executions, and follow up; ensuring the event runs smoothly. Qualifying and identifying clients' needs and communicating effectively with all hotel departments to deliver successfully. Supporting all sales efforts with managing schedules, filing and communication to achieve the set goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration of transient, group, and event clients overseeing all aspects from first contact to post departure thank you. Client review of hotel and event space needs, property tours and account qualifying. Be present for site visits, arrival, and departure of clients, and during the functions as needed. Communicates and documents up to date information with transient, group, and events to collaborate with all hotel departments ensuring all client needs and requirements will be met. Maintains open lines of communication with all employees and departments, works closely and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction. Work with various departments to ensure required and requested services are provided in a timely and effective manner. Preforms pre-and post-function event space inspections. Preparing, handling and processing of proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and all other needed documents with accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program if assigned. Attend networking events with local chamber of commerce, VCB, associations and assigned memberships. Work with the Director of Sales and General Manager to maximize rates, date and space commitments and contract negotiations that are beneficial for the hotel ensuring highest yield. Assist with and participate in staff training and development. Develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations, including Sales, Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Reservations. Competitive analysis every six months by calling competition and gathering data such as negotiated rates, banquet kits, room rental rates, etc. Maintain flexibility and commitment to the overall success of hotel. Consistently maintains a professional and high quality service oriented attitude. Maintains professionalism with all staff, guests, and vendors. Greets customers with a smile and positive attitude, providing a welcoming and courteous atmosphere. Upholds the hotel's commitment to hospitality, Brand's Satisfaction Promise.
