Hale Theatre is looking to fill a part time position for a front of house employee who will double as a House Manager and Usher to help out in both our mainstage theatre and concert hall. House Managers are primarily responsible for handling the management of the Front of House, ushers, and patrons. Ushers are primarily responsible for selling concessions, seating, and light house keeping duties. Clean cut appearance is a must. Friendly demeanor, willingness to help, and customer service skills are essential. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds (case of water), be comfortable with cleaning (bathrooms, emptying trash, etc.), and be on your feet for a 3 hour shift. Great part time job for students!

Expected House Manager duties include:

Managing all front of house operations during show times Training and overseeing Ushers Handling angry/upset patrons Quick problem solving in high stress situations A variety of fast paced tasks leading up to a successful showtime Directing patrons to their seats Answering patron questions Cleaning chores Management of intermission and closing show duties

Schedule:

Potential shifts could include Monday-Saturday afternoons & evenings. Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, except during December where additional hours are needed due to our busier performance schedule.

The Hale Centre Theatre - Arizona is a recognizable theater in the Arizona market producing award-winning shows since 2003. Hale Theatre produces eleven mainstage productions each year and up to ten concert productions. Hale Theatre is a family operated non-equity house that produces professional level productions.
