Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• 3 years' related experience in Slot operations, specifically gaming devices & progressive systems, & player tracking systems
• 1 year related experience in a customer service-oriented field (2 years' experience preferred)
• Submit to & clear an Alcohol/Drug Screen
• Licensable by Gaming Regulatory Commission
• Tribal Preference will apply
• Knowledge & understanding of Internal Controls for the Slot department & Slot hold percentages
• Knowledge of electronic game devices & progressive systems within a casino
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles & concepts
• Comprehend, interpret, & convey rules, regulations, policies & procedures
• Knowledge of management concepts, principles, & practices applicable to the full range of duties & activities concerned with management
• Communicate orally & in writing
• Function effectively under pressure of time and/or demands of several tasks at once
• Operate computer & various software programs, including spreadsheet application
• Work an irregular schedule, which includes evenings & weekends
• Maintain confidentiality of records & information

Preferred:

• Associate's degree in electronics

Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Slot Manager is responsible for coordinating & exercising functional authority for planning, control, & integration of all gaming & Slots department activities. The Slot Manager is responsible for effectively monitoring the overall performance of electronic gaming devices & video lottery department personnel, ensuring proper staff levels, gaming machine mix, & video promotions that will result in the highest profitability & growth of the organization.

Duties Include:

• Effective oversight of the Slot machines & Electronic System Operation maintenance & repairs
• Developing, initiating, & enforcing all departmental policies to ensure compliance with Internal Controls
• Ordering/purchasing & maintaining proper parts/supplies & inventory, which includes inventory control of all incoming sensitive materials
• Assist Guest Relations & Marketing in the implementation of all video promotions to include assisting in the operation of the 'Bonus Club'
• Ensure jackpot/printed payout voucher redemption is carried out under departmental policies & procedures
• Develop & implement all video game moves & changes in the floor plan in conjunction with compact, S/T MICS, & all governing documents & requirements
• Work closely with all the other departments to ensure prompt, professional, & courteous customer service
• Promptly resolve guest complaints
• Perform supervisory functions, including, but not limited to, staffing, schedules, performance evaluations, leave requests, & employee development
• Ensure Slot staff provides a positive, professional, & courteous customer atmosphere
• Responsible for key control within the Slot Department
• Provides timely reports to the Supervisor
