We're seeking a warm, attentive, and organized Host/Hostess to welcome guests and set the tone for a memorable evening. The ideal candidate will have restaurant, receptionist, or front desk experience, with a current experience of at least one year and must be available evenings. •A typical shift is 4:00pm - 9:30 pm. Responsibilities Greet all guests upon arrival with a smile and also wish guests that are leaving a wonderful evening. Seat guests promptly and strategically. Taking reservations and coordinating times with regard to walk-ins. Ensure table selection corresponds with proper rotation, customer seating preference and size of party. Handle phone calls and customer questions about the restaurant and menu, and assist various restaurant staff when necessary. Coordinate take out orders with kitchen and food runner Maintain a daily knowledge of menu items, tea service, and sustainability issues, and be able to discuss all subjects with guests. Ensure the host area is clean and organized; making sure menus are always clean. Qualifications Be available for a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Great organizational skills, out-going personality and disposition. The ability to move fast, learn quickly, and multi-task. A strong work ethic with acute attention to detail and be a great self starter. The ability to stay calm under pressure. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers. Must be team oriented. Must be efficient in data entry.
