Fishwife is a longtime Pacific Grove neighborhood restaurant specializing in fresh seafood, pasta, and California cuisine with Caribbean influences. Located near the beautiful Asilomar coastline, Fishwife offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and has been a favorite of locals and visitors for years. We are looking for an experienced, friendly, organized, and reliable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. Our hosts are the first and last point of contact for our guests and play an important role in keeping service organized and running smoothly.

Position Details & Requirements:

Part-time, approximately 3 shifts per week $17.50/hour + tips Flexible schedule Must be 21+ Minimum 3 years of restaurant hospitality/hosting experience Must be available weekends, including Sundays Experience with OpenTable required Experience with Yelp required Experience with Toast POS required Strong communication and guest-service skills Must be dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and the waitlist through OpenTable, answering phones, assisting with takeout orders through Toast POS, monitoring and responding appropriately to guest needs, coordinating table flow with servers and management, and maintaining an organized and welcoming host area. We're looking for someone who understands that great hospitality begins at the front door and can confidently manage the host stand during a busy service.

Pay:

From $18.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
