Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with efficiency using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Assist guests with reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements, ensuring optimal table utilization. Handle takeout orders accurately by processing phone and online orders using POS systems, ensuring timely preparation and pickup. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and delivery personnel to coordinate order fulfillment and delivery times. Maintain a clean, organized host station and dining area, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about menu items, reservations, and wait times while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or takeout attendant in a restaurant setting with strong customer service skills. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and proper phone etiquette. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for handling orders, payments, and POS transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures. Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
