The Hyatt Place | Hyatt House in Fishers Indiana is seeking an outgoing Front Desk Representative who is responsible for serving as a positive, property ambassador by contributing to our guest's satisfaction throughout their stay. This position is full-time with Monday - Sunday flexibility that will include first and second shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend to the needs of guests, especially during check-in and check-out.
• Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.
• Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (e.g. directions, places to eat).
• Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
• Posting charges to guest accounts and processing payments for guests.
• Informing housekeeping department about room status/availability.
• Operating hotel switchboard.
• Cleaning the front desk area.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to meet business goals and objectives.

Able to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and managers.

Work Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or zero (0) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Flexible schedule. Be able to stand for long periods of time. Able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.

• The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented.
• This position may, from time to time, require a flexible work schedule.
• Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment is required.
• This position requires working independently with minimal supervision.
• This position requires working and interacting with other team members.
• This position involves frequent interaction with employees, both in person and over the telephone.
