Home2 Suites by Hilton Charlotte Piper Glen Position Summary The Guest Service Agent serves as the primary point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a positive first and last impression of the hotel. This position provides exceptional guest service by efficiently handling guest arrivals, departures, reservations, requests, and concerns while maintaining Hilton brand standards. The Evening Guest Service Agent ensures smooth front desk operations during the afternoon and evening hours and works closely with all hotel departments to deliver outstanding hospitality. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Services Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and hospitable manner. Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently. Verify guest information, payment methods, and room assignments. Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns. Resolve guest issues professionally and escalate when necessary. Recognize Hilton Honors members and provide appropriate benefits and amenities. Maintain confidentiality of guest information. Reservations and Revenue Process reservations, cancellations, and room modifications. Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Assist with upselling room types and hotel offerings to maximize revenue. Ensure rate accuracy and proper application of discounts, negotiated rates, and tax exemptions according to hotel policies. Front Desk Operations Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and balance cash drawers. Complete shift reports, logs, and pass-on communications. Monitor guest arrivals, departures, and room availability. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally. Handle package deliveries, guest mail, and messages. Maintain a neat, organized, and professional front desk area. Safety and Security Follow all hotel safety and security procedures. Monitor hotel access and report suspicious activity. Respond appropriately to emergencies and guest incidents. Maintain awareness of fire safety and evacuation procedures. Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and Management teams. Assist with guest service recovery efforts when necessary. Support team members during busy periods and special events. Participate in training programs and staff meetings. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Previous hotel, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience. Experience using Hilton systems (PEP, OnQ, R&I, or related platforms). Cash handling experience. Hilton brand experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary. Ability to use computers, telephones, and standard office equipment. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
