Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure optimal cleanliness and floor care. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols during cleaning and maintenance activities. Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups to support facility upkeep. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injuries. Monitor facility conditions regularly, report maintenance issues promptly, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or safety concerns. Provide friendly customer service by addressing inquiries from staff or visitors courteously while maintaining a professional appearance. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings with knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards essential for maintaining a hygienic environment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for routine cleaning schedules and safety checks. Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and respond to facility needs or concerns. Prior experience with floor buffing, floor care, or industrial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety protocol adherence.
