In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the comfort and safety of our staff and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your efforts directly impact the overall facility operations. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in excellent condition. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical agents handling is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and heavy lifting practices is essential. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning roles will support success in this position.
