Job Summary English Spanish (25 hours per week) We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our facility during overnight hours. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, security, and general upkeep of the premises. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property. Conduct janitorial and custodial duties across various areas such as hallways, restrooms, offices, and common spaces. Carry out floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality and appearance. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues to the appropriate teams. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when required, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas. Ensure security protocols are followed by monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and maintaining a safe environment during overnight hours. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, security checks, and incident reports as needed. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is advantageous. Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices is beneficial. Previous porter or facilities support roles that involved cleaning and basic maintenance tasks are desirable. Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. Strong attention to detail combined with proactive problem-solving skills to address maintenance or cleaning issues promptly.
