Classification Summary Incumbents are responsible for providing cleaning services to the facilities by following established standards and procedures. Responsibilities may include vacuuming, mopping and dusting floors and windows; cleaning bathrooms and elevators; performing all aspects of floor care and maintenance - utilizing machines, floor strippers and polisher; providing support to event setup as needed; performing basic maintenance work; and providing support to the maintenance technicians during snow removal. In addition, incumbents also serve as a lead worker to assign work and provide work direction for temporary employees or student workers.
This position supports the Jefferson College Hillsboro campus.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) and six months of related experience.

Essential Job Function
These are the job duties that are required of the position.
Classification Duties 1. Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, scrubbing, and dusting floors and windows. (A1) 2. Clean bathrooms, classrooms, hallways, offices, lobbies, entry ways, elevators and other facility areas.(A1)
3. Dispose of all facility garbage and recycling by transporting materials to proper disposal areas. (A1)
4. Move, arrange, set-up, and tear down furniture and other event materials when required. (A1)
5. Stock and organize supplies and equipment to maintain inventory cleanliness and standards. (A1)
6. May provide guidance to lower level facilities positions. (A1)
7. Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
