General Statement of Duties Performs repetitive manual work requiring efficient performance of building cleaning and maintenance duties. Essential Duties
- Strips, seals, waxes, and buffs floors
- Scrubs and rinses floors in assigned area
- Damp mops a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, library, halls, stairs, cafeteria, kitchens, locker rooms and mechanical equipment rooms)
- Dusts a variety of rooms (i.e., auditorium, stage, library, halls, gym floors, and cafeteria)
- Sweeps shops, stairs and entrance areas, locker room, bleachers, sidewalks, halls
- Cleans and scrubs restrooms completely
- Dusts rooms, offices, furniture and cupboards, and removes cobwebs
- Empties and washes garbage cans
- Attends work daily and be engaged and on task - regular attendance is required
- Performs overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned Additional Information This vacancy is open until filled and is available for the 26-27SY.
This is a 12 month, 4 hours per day, 260 day position. Minimum hourly rate is $17.63 Salary is prorated based on official start date. Work hours are 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Henrico County Schools reserves the right to begin screening applications and make a selection at any time during the posting period. Knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment; ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment economically, efficiently, and safely; ability to follow simple oral and written directions. Good physical condition required. Ability to work at high altitudes using scaffolds, ladders, etc.
