Job Description

Summary:
Responsible primarily for end-of-day cleaning and sanitation of the facility, with limited dog handling and playgroup support as assigned. We operate 365 days a year; employees are expected to work weekends and holidays in all types of weather. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent performing cleaning and sanitation duties indoors and outdoors, 20% assisting with crating, transitioning, and end-of-day dog care, and the remaining 10% supporting late-day playgroups or enrichment activities once training requirements are met. Levels of responsibility will increase according to the level of the employee. Your advancement in the company is based on your initiative and progression through each level. Please refer to the Level Criteria documents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Performs end-of-day cleaning and sanitation duties including cleaning up dog waste, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, shoveling, cleaning crates, washing dishes, cleaning nap rooms, indoor and outdoor play yards, hallways, and bathrooms. Is directly responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment at all times for the dogs in our care. Assists trained handlers with crating, feeding, and transitioning dogs at the end of the day. Provides limited, supervised dog handling support in later playgroups once training milestones are completed. Supports enrichment activities as assigned, which may include brushing, light play, petting, holding, leashing, collaring, clothing dogs when jackets are required, and assisting with approved enrichment activities. Works as a team member with others and management in providing dog daycare, sleepover, and Stay & Play services. Helps to ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently obtained and supports the efficient and effective operation of the facility, including our mission to provide Whole Dog Care and Enrichment to all dogs in our care daily. Helps to maintain the highest company standards in the delivery of all services and is directly responsible for duties as assigned by management. Is responsible for reading, understanding, and following all Company Policies and Procedures.
