Shift and Schedule:

Weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings. The Tucson JCC is a community center for the entire community. It is a safe space with amenities for everyone. We offer an Early Childhood Education center, after-school care and camp, Special Needs Day program, fitness center and pool, beautiful new tennis courts, and so much more! The J is more than a community center and job, it's a home away from home! The lifeguards at the Tucson JCC ensure the safety of all members, program participants and guests that use the aquatics facility. Tucson JCC lifeguards have hours working solo, managing the whole pool and times working with a team of other lifeguards. This position reports directly to the Aquatics Director. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and actively supervising the lap & shade pool, kiddie pool and splash pad.
• Interacting with members, program participants and other guests.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the pool and pool deck.

Skills Requested:

• American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard preferred including CPR/First Aid/AED
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and to lift 50lbs.
• Availability to attend all mandatory in-service trainings (scheduled in advance of the season)
• Able to exhibit a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Confidence to work alone and adaptability to work within a team.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Willingness to cover vacation and sick callouts for other team members.
• Commitment to professionalism when engaging with patrons and other team members. The Shifts we are hiring for: All weekday shifts Tucson JCC Operating hours:
• Monday-Thursday 5am-9pm
• Friday 5am-6pm
• Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm Benefits include:
