Weekends; AM Shift; 16 hours/week

Clovis, CA Job Description Morning Star Post Acute is seeking a dependable Housekeeper on the weekends to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position performs routine cleaning and disinfecting throughout our skilled nursing facility while following facility sanitation, infection prevention, and safety procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces. Dust furniture and fixtures; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including handrails, door handles, and light switches. Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to facility procedures. Restock soap, paper products, and other housekeeping supplies. Complete discharge and room turnover cleaning as assigned. Respond promptly to spills and cleaning requests; use wet floor signs and other safety precautions. Follow cleaning schedules, product instructions, required disinfectant contact times, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and secured. Report maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, and supply shortages to the supervisor. Respect residents' privacy, dignity, belongings, and personal preferences while working in their rooms. Communicate courteously with residents, visitors, and staff and complete other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess a valid driver's license. Prior housekeeping experience preferred, especially in healthcare or a senior living setting. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Dependable attendance and availability to work scheduled weekend shifts. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and resident safety. Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, and pushing cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties Summary Responsible for weekend cleaning and disinfecting of resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces; removing trash; replenishing supplies; and completing assigned room turnover cleaning. Supports a sanitary, comfortable environment by following infection prevention procedures, using cleaning products safely, and promptly reporting hazards or maintenance needs.
