WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant who takes pride in doing a job well— not just getting it done . At the Geneseo Inn, cleanliness and presentation are a big part of the guest experience. We're looking for someone who notices the little things, works efficiently without cutting corners, and maintains the same high standards whether working independently or alongside the team.

The right candidate will:

Take ownership of their work and consistently deliver thorough, high-quality cleaning. Have a strong eye for detail and recognize when something needs extra attention. Work efficiently while maintaining quality, even on busy turnover days. Follow established cleaning procedures and room presentation standards. Be dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute to a small team. Communicate effectively, ask questions when needed, and be receptive to feedback. Stay productive and maintain standards without constant supervision. Weekend availability is required. We are a busy inn, but our weekends are the busiest. This full-time position will need to be available for weekend hours, as we work together to showcase the property and welcome guests with thoughtfulness and warmth.

DUTIES:

Clean & maintain the eight units at the Geneseo, plus the 3 bedroom vineyard Farmhouse Clean & maintain common areas (Lobby, courtyard, and deck) Prepare and deliver in-room breakfast trays to guests in the morning - ensuring presentation is clean and accurate, and that service is warm, timely, and professional (Comfort speaking in English is needed for providing this service - Se requiere comodidad hablando en inglés para brindar este servicio) Ensure company standards are followed in welcoming and acknowledging all guests Anticipate service needs of guests Apply professional language in communicating with guests and other people Provide support to team in order to achieve common goals Maintain company quality standards and expectations Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriately Enter guest rooms by adhering to proper procedures and ensure they are vacant Routinely inspect all room appliances to ensure they are in good working condition Adhere to all safety, security, and company procedures and policies Provide immediate report of any safety hazards, injuries, maintenance problem, or accidents to the supervisor Keep uniform clean and make sure to appear professional always Assist with washing glassware and dishes Assist with washing/drying/folding laundry

REQUIREMENTS

Dependable transportation for commuting to this on-premise job is a must Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision Ability to communicate professionally with both guests and team members Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 lbs Able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and move between buildings and outdoor areas for extended periods of time Ability to safely push and maneuver a fully loaded housekeeping cart over uneven or sloped surfaces Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality (preferred but not required as training will be available) Possess high school diploma or equivalent CA Food Handler's Certificate (preferred, but not immediately required) Availability to work weekends and holidays is required Ability to communicate clearly in English is preferred due to frequent guest interaction and coordination with other departments
