Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Laundry Aide to join our team. This role primarily focuses on laundry-related tasks, ensuring that clothing and linens are properly sorted, washed, and distributed in accordance with infection control policies. The ideal candidate will play a vital part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility, supporting the overall well-being of residents and staff. Duties Sort laundry items according to type, color, and care instructions Operate washing machines and dryers to clean clothing, linens, and other textiles Distribute clean laundry to designated areas or residents as needed Follow infection control policies and procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained during all laundry activities Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to safety protocols Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and equipment Support team members in maintaining a sanitary environment throughout the facility Qualifications Prior experience in laundry services or housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided Ability to follow infection control policies and procedures diligently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a positive attitude Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks safely This position offers an essential role in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all residents.
