Skylark Motel in Bedford is looking for a dependable housekeeper to help clean and prepare guest rooms. This position can be housekeeping only, or for the right person, there is also an opportunity to live onsite at the motel and provide occasional after-hours guest assistance. Housekeeping Responsibilities Clean guest rooms after checkout and prepare them for incoming guests Change sheets and towels Clean bathrooms, floors, furniture, and other room surfaces Restock toilet paper, towels, and other room supplies Report maintenance problems or unusual damage Help keep laundry and housekeeping areas organized Make sure rooms are clean, presentable, and ready for the next guest Pay is negotiable but I would plan on $10

•15 per room cleaned. Rooms typically take 30 minutes or less to clean each, equating this to $20-30/hr Optional Free Onsite Housing We can also offer free onsite housing at the motel to the right person. Taking the housing is not required to get the housekeeping job. For someone interested in living onsite, we would also like to discuss an expanded role helping guests when needed outside normal hours. This would generally involve simple things such as: Bringing a guest extra towels or toilet paper Helping with a room or lockout issue Checking on a minor problem and reporting it to management Occasionally assisting a guest who needs something that cannot be handled remotely Most reservations, check-ins, phone calls, and normal guest service are handled remotely. This is not a traditional front-desk position and you would not be expected to sit at a desk waiting for guests. We are looking for someone who is: Dependable and able to show up when rooms need to be cleaned Comfortable working independently Detail-oriented Honest and trustworthy Able to communicate by phone/text with management Comfortable working around motel guests Able to recognize when something needs maintenance or additional attention Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is helpful, but not required if you are dependable and willing to learn. Schedule The schedule will vary based on motel occupancy and checkouts. Most room cleaning takes place during the daytime between guest checkout and check-in.
