Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest areas, staff spaces, and public areas within the hotel. Your proactive approach will ensure a welcoming environment for all guests and staff, supporting the smooth operation of daily hotel functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and buffers to ensure spotless surfaces in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas Handle cleaning tasks with various chemical agents following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to ensure safe and effective sanitation Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations Maintain cleanliness of hotel facilities by vacuuming carpets, cleaning windows, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens Support hotel housekeeping management by replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during incidents or hazardous situations Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial setting preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including chemical handling and sanitation practices Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety precautions Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team as a Houseman where your dedication to cleanliness and safety will contribute directly to guest satisfaction and the overall excellence of our hospitality services.
