You will also be taught how to work front desk and be able to check out and check in guests for possible shifts on Fridays working front desk as well as housekeeping. You will work alongside one other housekeeper. Expect work Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and steamers efficiently and safely. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety guidelines. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Requirements Proven custodial or housekeeping experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning and maintenance. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety standards. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards. Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude to deliver exceptional customer service.
