This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hotel housekeeping management while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. You will also be trained to work front desk as well for possible shift on Fridays working both front desk as well as housekeeping. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle various cleaning agents and chemical products safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and conduct floor care to maintain a spotless appearance Manage custodial tasks such as trash removal, linen replacement, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while ensuring safety procedures are followed during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks Support hotel emergency procedures by responding promptly to safety incidents or sanitation issues Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly Be able to check out and check in guests, make reservations, and offer good hospitality and customer service Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of sanitation standards Skilled in floor cleaning, vacuuming, and floor care techniques to uphold hygiene standards Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance for efficient workflow Excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction during interactions or service requests Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, manual handling, and performing repetitive tasks efficiently This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a welcoming hotel environment.
